Oral Presentation


Time allocation & Outline

INVITED Sessions: 90 minutes / PARALLEL Sessions: 120 minutes
The chair (and moderator) of each session is requested to ensure the session is kept within the session time frame by informing the presenters of their allocated presentation time each and discussion time in advance.
Presenters are required to be fully aware how long they are given for their own presentation so as not to disadvantage subsequent presenters.

TOPICAL Sessions: 120 minutes
Presenters are requested to provide a presentation for maximum of 15 minutes respectively in the order of the presenters list on the Program on the website.
After each presentation, the presenter is requested to take the lead to elicit questions or opinions from the audience and the other presenters for an interactive discussion for approximately 10 minutes.
Topical Sessions are expected to have audience active participation and engagement.

Technical guidelines for power point presentation & Equipment of the Room

Presenting authors should arrive at the presentation venue 20 minutes prior to the start of the session and save the power point file to the computer provided in the venue, to duly have the session begin on time. The WSSF staff in each room will assist you, if necessary.

Each session room has the following facilities:
- Video projector and screen(monitor)
- Computer/OS :windows/Windows 7 or Windows 10 *
with Applications: Power Point (version 2016) and Adobe Reader installed
- A laser pointer
- mini D-sub 15 pins cable

*In case you wish to use your own computer:
Presenters who wish to use their own computers including Mac, should check if their computer is equipped with a mini D-sub 15 pins, in advance. If not, please make sure to bring any other appropriate converter with you.
The time required to both set up and remove your computer will be included in your presentation time allocated.

Poster Presentation


Posters need to be printed by presenters and the presenters are to bring them to the Forum venue on their own*.
Presenting author should be present in front of the poster to make a presentation toward viewers and to discuss with them if necessary, during “Presentation Core time**” on the allocated day. All presentation is to be conducted in English.

Poster Specification
Size:

The size of the poster panel is 210 cm (height) x 90 cm (width).
The poster should not exceed the panel size.

Lettering:

The poster should be easily readable at a distance of 2 meters.

Schedule

Preparation time (Set-up): 10:30 ― 11:00 DAY2 /DAY3 /DAY4

Presentation core time**: 12:50 ― 13:50 DAY2 /DAY3 /DAY4

♦ Poster presentation program including allocated day for each presenter will be announced no later than early August.

Display:

Posters are to be displayed throughout the allocated day until 17:00

Removal:

17:00 ― 18:00 on DAY2 and DAY3
All posters need to be cleared by 17:30 on DAY4.

Note for Set up and Removal
  • You will receive Presentation ID card with your panel code upon on-site registration.
    Pushpins for poster mounting will be available at the venue. (2nd floor)
  • Presenting authors have to be responsible for their own posters: Be sure not to leave it on the panel after the Removal time.

* The Forum venue office nor WSSF office can NOT receive, store or hold printed posters.
 Transportation of posters must be carried out under presenters own responsibilities.
